Data deletion
The Wrong Guy Detective Agency does not create player accounts. You can still request deletion of feedback or support information you have sent to Anders Borlid.
Delete a submitted report or support correspondence
- Email anders@borlid.net with the subject “Wrong Guy data deletion request”.
- Include the report number if you have it and say whether you want the entire report or only personal/contact details removed. For email correspondence, identify the conversation.
- If you have no report number, provide the approximate submission date and enough of the message to locate it. You do not need to provide a password, identity document or full game save.
Requests are handled manually. If necessary, the developer will ask for limited information to establish which report belongs to you. An anonymous report may be difficult to identify without its number or contents. You will receive a reply explaining the outcome and any information that needs to be retained.
An entire-report deletion covers the message, optional name/contact details and attached game-progress and technical information in the report store. Hosting logs and backups are reviewed separately; this is not an instant automated deletion service. Any security or legal retention exception will be explained in the response.
Remove information on your own device
- Feedback draft: open Feedback and choose Discard draft.
- Start the story again: choose New adventure and confirm. This resets game progress; it does not delete reports already sent.
- All Android local data: use Android Settings → Apps → The Wrong Guy Detective Agency → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app. Menu wording varies by device.
- Browser data: clear site data for apps.borlid.net in your browser. This may also remove local data for other apps on the same site. Delete separately any save or feedback files you downloaded.
Clearing local data does not remove submitted reports. Deleting a submitted report does not reset your game. Google Play account information and reviews are managed through Google, not this game.
