From the orchard to the royal welcome: follow the entire route through forests, mountain tunnels and the winding castle finale. The locals have been marked on your map. They do not know about this.

Portrait arrows point to each type’s first appearance; matching letters mark later encounters. Gold traces the railway, turquoise follows it through the mountains. The map contains route spoilers. Encounter positions are verified against version 0.8.8; no encounters moved in Release Candidate 2.

Questionable manners.

Dragons, giants, trolls and knights put on quite a show. Frogs, rabbits and grasshoppers prefer to hop straight across your path.

Climb through woodland, dive beneath two mountains and roll over timber bridges. Each chapter brings its own music and a new view.

Find seven optional gems on your way to the castle. The king, queen and princess are waiting with a fanfare and a shower of confetti.

The cart follows the rails. You handle everything that gets in the way. The castle is loosely inspired by Glimmingehus; the railway safety standards are entirely our own.

  1. Lean into it.

    Tilt your phone fully to collect golden corn and gems. Tip the whole cart past broken rails, rock spurs and swinging sacks.

  2. Watch the signs.

    New creatures get an advance introduction. Hold DUCK for up to two seconds, then release and recover before your next escape.

  3. Keep your feathers.

    Start with five hearts. A bump costs one and stops the cart; ten corn restore one heart. Learn the patterns as encounters grow closer together.

A bump, a quack, and a few little birds

Contacts happen as the duck meets a creature or obstacle. Everyone bounces back and the ride continues. Lean past soft canvas sacks as the challenge builds towards the castle. These views are rendered from the game scene.

Little hoppers, golden snacks

Watch the warning, hold DUCK for a hop, then pop up and lean for the next corn trail. Every fifth corn in a row earns a score bonus. Every ten collected corn also restore one heart, even with missed pickups between them. These close-ups are rendered from the game's Unity scenes.

A little more railway mischief

Four broken rail sections call for a proper lean: the cart tips onto the intact side and lifts the opposite wheels. Inside the mountains, rough rock faces and four marked outcrops add another reason to watch the track. A missed lean costs one heart, just like a creature hit.

They put on quite a show. Time your duck to keep your five hearts; lean into corn trails to recover between encounters.

Along the rails

Orchards, lantern-lit rock passages and a river valley lead towards the castle. These views use the game's camera without the interface; the final screenshot shows the results on an Android phone.
