Coastline Commando

Four lanes. One red sports car. A coast full of trouble. Take the Vortex GT past turquoise water, palm trees, roadside diners and surf shops in a colourful, 1980s-inspired arcade driving game. Weave through traffic, give a rival a gentle shove towards the shoulder, or let your mounted weapons clear the road ahead.

This is an early playable concept: one looping coast road for trying the driving, traffic and weapons. There is no campaign, stage progression or player damage yet. The artwork, handling and combat are still taking shape.

Hit the coast road

Pick your lane. Tap LEFT or RIGHT to glide into the next lane, or hold a direction to keep changing lanes. The car stays within the four-lane road. Steering uses the on-screen buttons.
Enjoy the cruise. The car drives itself at 150 km/h. Hold GAS to reach 240, or BRAKE to slow down. Let go and it returns to cruising speed.
A little bumper-car attitude. Traffic travels in the same direction. Collisions are forgiving and springy; a well-placed sideways shove can send an opponent off the road.
Try the toys. Tap the weapon selector to cycle machine gun, spread, homing missiles and weapons off. Weapons fire automatically at suitable opponents ahead.
More coast ahead. Explore a repeating 3.6 km stretch with six districts, fuel stations, diners, surf shops and other roadside stops.

This alpha is shared directly here and is not a Google Play release. The APK is for Android phones and cannot be installed on an iPhone. This build has been tested on a Samsung Galaxy S24; performance on other phones is still being explored.

The red Vortex GT cruises along a four-lane road between turquoise sea and cliffs, with large steering and pedal buttons — Sunny Coast at cruising speed. Pick a lane and enjoy the view.
